Donjon Du Roi

Le Donjon du Roi (The King's Keep) is one of the jewels of the fantastic history of Saint-Emilion. The Chateau was built around the same time as the Galhaud family mansion in the Saint-Emilion district. The only vestige of what was to form the Château de Roy a long time ago, this 13th century keep is still intact. At the top of the tower you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of the city of Saint-Emilion. 
This building is the only Roman dungeon still intact in Gironde. 
 
Composition of this wine: 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon 
 
Half of the production is aged in 1 year oak barrels for 12 months.
